Following the winter experience Frozen Table, Bohinj Club continued its story on the shores of Lake Bohinj with The Lake, an event designed around everything that makes Bohinj so special.
Over the course of one afternoon, the place, its people and their stories came together, all united by a genuine connection to Bohinj. Tadej Golob, author of the novel “Jezero” (The Lake), spoke about his work and his connection to Bohinj while out on the lake itself, while Ana Soklič, who grew up in Bohinj, performed her song “Voda” (water) on its shores.
Vila Muhr, a Michelin Key recipient, was also part of the experience. The evening continued at Fox on the Rocks, where Davor Arnautović, chef of Gourmet Vila Muhr and recipient of the Gault&Millau 2026 Chef of the Future award, prepared a six-course menu. Contemporary cuisine thus became another way of telling the story of the place, the season, and Bohinj.
It was precisely this interplay that made Jezero so special. Literature, music, gastronomy, and Lake Bohinj were not simply individual elements of the programme, but parts of the same story—one that would be difficult to tell anywhere else. This is also the idea behind Bohinj Club, which brings together places, people, and stories through special events, creating experiences that can truly only happen in Bohinj.
